ENGLISH I
The ninth grade is the time when all students should set the foundations of a successful four years of high school. It is a year of review, repetition, and discovery. Every student in English I is engaged in learning opportunities and instruction that will allow him or her to meet or exceed high standards. Students will learn to inquire, talk, read, write, think, and investigate as readers and writers about the big ideas and driving questions in English Language Arts. My goal is to support students in becoming independent, strategic, critical readers, writers, listeners, and speakers who communicate effectively in various forms, for various purposes, and for various audiences.
