UNT
For your students that are interested in learning more about UNT, we have designed a recruitment website just for students. Students can go to essc.unt.edu/recruitment/student_access/index.htm for information and details about upcoming UNT Special Events. Students will also have access to our knowledge-based AskUNT for frequently asked questions, along with various avenues to request additional information as well as schedule a campus tour. Students are still welcome to visit us at www.unt.edu for information about the campus, but the website listed above is for recruitment purposes. Please feel free to share this web address with your students.
Library Program
A new Denton Public Library program allows students in grades 4th through 12th and in introductory colleges courses to receive free online tutoring. Students with a library card can visit www.cityofdenton.com/pages/library.cfm for "Live Homework Help," an online tutoring service from Tutor.com that connects students to expert tutors in math, science, social studies and English at no charge. Spanish speaking tutors are available to help students with math and science. Online hours are 3-10pm every day; Spanish-speaking tutors are available from 3-9pm Sunday through Thursday. All tutors are certified teachers, college professors, professional tutors and graduate and undergraduate school students from across the country. For more information call 940-349-8752

USA.Gov
Not everyone in the government know everything about the government. So when you need official info about Social Security, getting a passport, renewing a driver's license, or if you're just checking your local weather, go to www.USA.gov. A monumental source of useful information.
FAFSA
If you want to begin exploring your financial aid options and get an early start on the financial aid process, FAFSA4caster is for you! By using FAFSA4caster, you and your family will receive an early estimate of eligibility for federal student aid. This Web site provides you with an opportunity to increase your knowledge of the financial aid process; become familiar with the various types of federal student aid that are available; and investigate other sources of aid, such as grants and scholarships.

When you're ready to apply for aid, you can easily transition from FAFSA4caster to FAFSA on the Web. Much of the information that you enter in the FAFSA4caster will populate your FAFSA on the Web application, making the experience of applying for federal student aid a lot easier.
