Need Scholarships for college? Besides the "local" scholarships, which are facilitated through the LDHS Counseling Office, you can do your own online search! Use the following tips....
1) Google the colleges or universities in which you are interested. Within their home pages,
you will find general scholarship information from the college or university based on
SAT or ACT scores, GPA, and leadership.
2) Also, if you know your intended major, you can look within the appropriate
department on the college's website for more specific scholarships. Example:
Music Majors would look within the Music Department on the website.
3) Do a "FASTWEB" search. At the scholarship website, www.fastweb.com, you can build a
profile about yourself and get information about scholarships that are available! This
website also lists colleges with your major, jobs, and internships.
