About Me |
A native of Texas, I grew up in the small town of Lumberton just outside of Beaumont. I then moved to Denton and graduated from the University of North Texas, earning a bachelor's degree and later a master's degree in business/marketing. From there, I went on to work in the corporate world for nine years within marketing and project management before realizing that education was really where I needed to be. Even though I switched between two seemingly very different careers, I am fortunate for my previous experience. Within marketing, I was surrounded by creative minds who taught me to stretch my imagination. This was beneficial for me in the classroom and will help me in creating a vision for our campus as an administrator. My experience in project management helped me learn to prioritize and juggle several things at once, skills that helped me as a teacher and that I will certainly utilize as an administrator. |

Discipline |
When it comes to disciplinary matters, I keep things as simple as possible. I believe in establishing clear expectations and then following up with consequences in a fair and consistent manner. | |

Personal |
When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Scott, and my Rat Terrier, Bandit. I love traveling around our beautiful country or just taking it easy on my scooter and bike. |
