Hi! My name is Erika Lewis and I am very excited to be starting my sixth year of teaching 7th grade science at LDMS. I am originally from Upstate NY where I received my B.S. in Biology and played intercollegiate soccer at St. Bonaventure University. Shortly after earning my degree, I relocated to Northern California. I spent six years in the San Francisco Bay area playing soccer, hiking and sightseeing while I was employed as a nanny, group counselor and a cashier in a chocolate factory (YUM!). My husband and I moved to Denton, TX after our first child was born. In Texas, I worked in an early learning facility and gained experience teaching all age groups including private 1st grade before I received my 4th-8th Math/Science teaching certificate.
