Our Journey is Beginning..... |
 This first six weeks the students will be reading nonfiction literature in form of a personal narrative,a memoir, and an autobiography. The students will write a personal narrative about an experience in their life. The class will have DOL (Daily Oral Language) each day which works on the grammar conventions. |

Grading Policy |
 There are two types of grades:
Daily = 50%
Tests/Projects = 50%
Daily grades consist of DOL(grammar), vocabulary, Bookmark Log, and class assignments / homework. The Bookmark Log is graded every two weeks and a parent must initial this bookmark log to receive credit.
Test grades consist of DOL quiz on Fridays, projects, and tests over novels or short stories.
If your student takes home their spiral/reading folder to study and a parent signs the spiral/reading folder and a parent signs the spiral or folder, then the student will receive 3 extra points on their test score.
