For most of my life I knew that I wanted to work in education. I started teaching at UNT as a Fellow in the History Department in 1989, and in 1993 I started teaching simultaneously as an Adjunct at NCTC. While teaching at the college level, it did not take long for me to realize that I was missing out on what I felt was the most important and engaging aspect of public education, which is witnessing the daily life and growth of the kids. I am passionate about educating the whole child, and this includes anything that contributes to their social, emotional, and academic success. I was with the Denton ISD for the past 13 years as a teacher and administrator, and I am now a very proud member of the Falcon family at Lake Dallas High School. With great anticipation, I look forward to working alongside the faculty, staff, and students as we push LDHS to the next level. Let's go Falcons!
